Platform

Settings

System configuration options across brand, location, and platform levels.

Overview

Settings in SalonOS are organised by scope: org-level, brand-level, and location-level. The settings surface is the place where admins configure how the platform behaves — from operating hours to payment providers to AI feature toggles.

  • Check-in kiosk: checkin.brandname.com

Domain setup requires:

  1. Brand configures the domain in Settings → Custom Domains
  2. SalonOS provides a CNAME record
  3. Brand adds the CNAME to their DNS provider
  4. SSL certificate is auto-provisioned (Let's Encrypt)

SaaS Billing

Org-level SaaS billing settings:

  • Current subscription plan (what features and how many locations are included)
  • Billing cycle (monthly / annual)
  • Payment method (card on file)
  • Usage metrics (locations, staff count, message volume)
  • Invoice history
  • Plan upgrade / downgrade

Billing is managed by the platform's SaaS control plane, visible to org owners.

Session timeout Idle session timeout duration

Accessing Settings

  • Org owners: Settings → Organisation for org-level; navigate to each brand for brand settings
  • Brand managers: Settings within their brand context
  • Location managers: Settings → Location (limited to location-specific items)
  • Front desk and stylists: Profile settings only (personal preferences, notification settings)

Settings changes are logged in the audit trail with: who changed what, from what value to what value, and when.
